trajik78 Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 XP only addresses up to around 3GB of RAM do it being a 32-bit OS. --- does CPU-Z see all 4 sticks?
red930 Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 XP only addresses up to around 3GB of RAM do it being a 32-bit OS. --- does CPU-Z see all 4 sticks? Wasn't it like 3.2GB? It can address the full 4GB in x64 though.
r3sil3 Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 BIOS shows 4. CPUz shows 4096. Windows shows 2048. Im very confused. If i put the BIOS back to S/W mappnig off and memory hole off, it only shows 3, fine. but why won't wndwos show 3 when 4 is showing in BIOS, but when 3 is in BIOS, 3 shows in windows. This is annoying
red930 Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Maybe it knows that 4GB is physically there, but it's addressing 2GB ( )
