Been reading and posting a lot about 360 vs PS3 and I came across an interesting article:

It's said that the rats are the first to abandon a sinking ship. While not rats, publishers are beginning to abandon the PS3 after its less-than-impressive launch and news of production woes. Three titles have pulled up stakes and moved to the Xbox 360 (as cross-platform).

 

Koei, long time PlayStation supporter (and company frequently billed as key support to win the generation) has pulled Fatal Inertia and Blade Storm: The Hundred Years' War from the PS3 exclusive list and plopped them squarely into the Xbox 360 camp. Another PlayStation staple, the Armored Core series, is also coming to the white box in the form of Armored Core 4.

 

Sony is going to be in for a difficult battle if key players keep moving over party lines; Microsoft is doing far better coaxing exclusive content over to the 360. If Sony continues to lose its differentiation, why should gamers continue to shell out up to $200 more just to play the same games? Enjoy this machine translation for those who can't read Japanese.

You should add this to the other sony bashing threads instead of create another. Why are people getting so hot and bothered by the thought of Sony having a bad times and exaggerating the situation? Having a Windows monopoly is not going to be a good thing- if they manage to wipe out sony nintendo would be next and games would be just as exciting as the Soap operas.

No you are not I think I came off stronger than intended and if I did I alologise. This place is not that bad, but the internet is overflowing with BS aganst Sony. I am annoyed with sony too though they need to work on the PR and be a little more coutomer orented. They have some really great ideas and products but usually shoot to high.

Easy Fenix were not having a grammar competition or anything. I agree with that however Joe, Sony does shoot pretty high. They aspire to big goals they set but usually have a harder time reaching them (remember the Betamax?). Microsoft and Nintendo are not without their flaws either though. I think I just like to post about it and get into the mud of it because I am trying to figure out what console I want for myself. I find it hard to justify to buy both and I don't want to settle on a Wii. An Xbox + Wii or PS3 + Wii could be an option. I think the nature of my threads give away which side I'm leaning towards though, I can't deny that!

You're right... it's not... that's why he said it'd be easier for him to read it. I have issues with people the use no punctuation as well.

 

Actually, I get tired of seeing anyone who asks for some SIMPLE English rules to be followed, (like using a few commas) so that the person's post MIGHT be intelligible, being jumped all over as if they went of a screaming rant against the misuse of the SEMI-COLON as a COLON.

I read a very interesting paper on the state of the English language a few years ago and there was a great quote in it that I try my best to adhere to.

 

"Sloppy English leads to sloppy thinking."

 

ANYWAYS... I'm rather irritated with Sony making their console cost 7448910247 times more and then make it so that it's almost impossible to code effectively for. THEN, the graphics solution... ugh. It's not BAD but it certainly is archaic and altogether ... well... sloppy. It's sad that Microsoft can put together a product LESS complicated than yours. And not referring to the sophisticated type of complicated either. THEN, they shove the blu-ray garbage down our throats and spout off INSANE numbers about what the product can do. Long story short, the Xbox and PS3 are nearly the same computing power, though I give the nod to the XBox's graphics solution. AND it comes in at hundreds less. The ONLY reason I'm even considering the damn thing is the games that are on it. And now I'm seeing Sony even lose that.

Well I will admit that I do not like bad grammar. In fact most of the time it bugs me, but I try not to let it get to me. The worst is when you get very long emails which are void of any proper pauses and contain no capital lettering. Or the instant messengers who INSIST on using numerous periods after every sentence............ However, I understand that some individuals are less gifted with a pencil or keyboard than others and you just gotta let some shi* slide. :cool:

Microsoft won't crush Nintendo this time around; the Wii controller concept alone is winning fans in droves (in addition to its lower price and true backward compatibility with its predecessor). I think together, MS and Nintendo will deal a crippling blow to Sony (or, more accurately, Sony dealt a crippling blow to itself which MS and Nintendo were more than happy to capitalize on). I won't shed any tears for Sony, either.

 

I also doubt that, even if MS were to take out Nintendo too, that its "monopoly" status would be a big deal. Video game consoles don't just compete with each other, they compete with consumer expectations. If people think a console is going to suck they won't buy it, even if there are no alternatives (which, even in this scenario, the PC would be at least somewhat of a competitor).
