red930 Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 1. Definitely not possible. DDR2 only. 2. The stock bios that originally shipped with the board has a lock up issue (dunno how they missed it...), flash to the one on DFI's website and that problem should go away. Double check yours is the latest...if it is try the Beta bios. If you still have an issue...try using a 'normal' ps/2 keyboard and see what happens. red930 Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 DDR and DDR2 are separate technologies, and unless the motherboard / processor is specifically designed to use them, they are not interchangeable. Use a PS2 keyboard...that is really the only failsafe way. I have a USB keyboard which I have an adapter and it works perfectly fine. EDIT: Wow, Techno, you're fast Sound's like a good recommendation to try for the keyboard

radodrill Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 DDR and DDR2 are separate technologies, and unless the motherboard / processor is specifically designed to use them, they are not interchangeable. Not only are they different technologies but they also use different sockets; DDR=184pin and DDR2=240pin.
