nedez Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Will the 8800 GTX fit on DFI LanParty UT nF4 Ultra-D ? I used raid 0 so i need to use too the sata port closed to the card, no problem with theses connectors and this very long graphic card ? Thanks a lot. tasr Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 The Ultra-D has the PCI-E slot that you need. What it really depends on is your case. Most 8800 have a PCB Length = 10.5". So you need to measure from PCI case mount to your drives.
Bubo Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 I have a BFG 8800GTX in a NF4 Lan Party UT Ultra-D and use sata 3/4. Witht he card in the top pic-e slot the sata cables are close to the bare component end of the graphics card alright but there is enough clearance to fit it safely, just be careful when you slot the card in that nothing is going to catch like a capacitor. This is with straight sata connectors, not sure how 90' connectors would be like. The card does however cover the chipset fan quite a bit if using the top slot, though I don't think this has that much affect on temps in reality. Raphie Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Does it need the 16 lane slot? (will it max out in the 8 lane slot?)
nedez Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 Thanks, since i used raid 0, i was afraid that a sata too close of the hp or other component of the 8800 GTX. As you can see here with a x1900xt, very short place. Same with the fan chipset here too. It seems to have no trouble until now. So thanks again Bubo.
