Windows wont detect RAID 0 setup

Recommended Posts

Hi, i recently updated my BIOS, and lost the RAID setup i had. When enabling it again, windows wont detect it as a HD setup. NVraid detects it, its setup in the BIOS by pressing the raid utility F10. The Device Manager detects the array under hard drivers, updated all drivers. But windows, simply wont give me the drive option.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,

You managed to follow one rule about stating your location but what about the other rule relating to your hardware/signature?

Please create a list of all your hardware and save it to your profile before your next post.

The RAID array may need formatting again.

Right mouse on my computer >Manage

Then go to disk management.

Do you see the Array there?

Is it in your "Hard drive boot priority" in the BIOS? If so you probably have your BIOS set up correctly, if not then you need to enable SATA/PATA RAID in your main chipset BIOS, not the NVraid BIOS. You shouldn't have to rebuild your array, if you haven't changed any H/W.
