tasr Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Did you clear the CMOS and load defaults prior to loading the Patriot? Then do a long CMOS clear like this and follow it exactly. Test your memory with memtest by using tests #5 and #8 for 15-20 passes each. Then do all tests for 20 passes. Test the memory in the orange slots. laserred Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Yeah, follow Tasr's link to the letter. I don't know if it's all DFI LP boards, but mine would give nothing but problems if I tried to use both sticks right off the bat. Use a single stick like the guide says, then after setting defaults and rebooting, set the 250MHz SPD timings for your ram as a starting point, then save and reboot, then insert the second stick. Should work like a charm.
