HarryTaco Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Files Ive had trouble deleting in past years have either been in use or adwares or a virus. You can sometimes delete an otherwise undeletable file by changing the properties to "Read Only" file and possibly renaming the file as well. Try this... it has worked for me in the past. billy1ear Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Do it from the command prompt, almost never fails. If it does boot up in safe mode and do it from the command prompt, never fails. I know cause when I surf porn it always puts a file somewhere on my disk I cannot delete!!!
red930 Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Here is a good one.... Open up the command prompt, than hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and end the process for Explorer.exe than from the command prompt go into that specific folder where that file is located that you cannot delete and try del "filename.xxx". That should work and just reopen the Explorer.exe through the Windows Task Manager...
