masterkleer 7/16 with 1/2 barbs

Recommended Posts

Also dipping the ends in boiling water works well.

This is the method that worked the best for me... I tried the hairdryer & it was a joke. I put some distilled water in a bowl & put it in the microwave until it was really hot, then soaked the tubing in the water for a bit, It softened up nicely. It helps to get the barbs a little wet also.

thanks for the info...now how hard is it to get off? also will i still need to use clamps?? i have seen people use zip ties with 7/16...

I would still use clamps. The barbs (from what I've seen anyway) are usually rebated in the middle, and the hose won't go around that competely, so if you want the best fit I would use a clamp.
