anyone experiencing game lockups using the dx7 rendering setup... i tried everything... i passed prime 8hrs+, memtest is fine, 3dmarks is fine too... turned down my gpu clocks. i can play on dx9 all day without lockups..

I know this isn't helping...but is there any particular reason you want to play with dx7?

because i get higher framerates on dx7... i dont get good framerates on dx9.. and if i turn off vsync i get theses choppy lines..

The Dx7 option was very handy indeed when I had my 9800pro but I get excellent FPS now with Dx9 and my card. With your rig man you shouldn't be able to even notice if your on Dx7 or 9. Sounds like something else might be set wrong to me.

i play on dx7 and 1280x1024 4x aa, 16xaf, i get good 60+ fps, on dx9, nutin above 20

same here.. im playing on 1680x1050 dx7 i get 60 fps... but dx9 i get 30fps
