aelfwyne Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 I know open box deals are a crapshoot, but I've always had good luck with them at NewEgg... I wish they'd had these deals 10 days ago when I bought my mobo... All have free shipping as well. WintersFury Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 I'm pretty sure there's one on the 975x/g as well, might be gone by now. Didn't go for it cause I don't want to deal with not having an I/O shield.
aelfwyne Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Out of about 6 open box deals I've bought from NewEgg, only one came without an accessory... that was my x850XT that I got for $98... It came as a bare card.. the lack of the PCIe power adapter was the final straw that upgraded my PSU... All other open boxes that I've ordered have come packaged like new, in fact some show no signs of ever even having been opened. Cause the 975x did, which is why I didn't get it... If it came with the stuff I coulda saved $30... *grumble*
aelfwyne Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 That's a disclaimer they put on all open box items. Yes, there's the possibility you'll get nothing but the item. But generally you'll get everything that's needed for operation, despite the disclaimer. Of course, you do take the risk... As I said, so far I haven't had any problem of missing parts. Video cards seem to come bare, but other items I've ordered have had all accessories even when the website said they might not. Guest Tmod Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Ok consider this a newb question, Is the NF3 250-AL that is in the top Newegg link actually the NF3-250Gb? Tmod
aelfwyne Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Ok consider this a newb question, Is the NF3 250-AL that is in the top Newegg link actually the NF3-250Gb? Tmod Hard to say, as I don't think there is an NF3-250Gb... However, I do find two seperate models on the DFI site, an NF3 250-AL and an NF3 Lanparty 250Gb. If you are asking if it is the Lanparty version, I'd say nope, it is the NF3 250-AL which does not have the Gb chipset. It would be this one and not this one. I didn't know DFI made a non LanParty NF3. Thanks! Tmod
