p0tter Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Ive put off getting a widescreen for some time now. Anyone with experience w/ Dell's refurb LCD's ? The 3007 WFP @ $1,049.00 is a great deal.
Syngensmyth Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 No, but I've heard some happy people with Dell's scratch and dent PC's (don't ask me why). If Dell is selling the refurb it would make me a little more warm and fuzzy. Why not do Dell 24 wide (I am seeing you on it as I type) and pay even less? I know, I know, I want a 30 wide also. But this 24 is veeeery nice:)
WintersFury Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I was actually looking at referb 2007WFP's earlier and wondering if they were going to have a whole bunch of dead pixels and stuff like that. Referb is $599, new is $799... Also don't see anything about return / warrenty stuff on the Dell site about refurbs. The prices are good, but without knowing the return / warrenty stuff I'm not going to try it.

OldMike Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Keep in mind that a 20.1" standard Dell screen is 16"x12", the 24" wide is 19.2"x12" and the 30" is 25.6"x16". The 20" wide screen is not as tall as the standard screen but is wider. The 30" is where you gain more heigth on the other screens. I turned my 20.1 inch display sideways next to my 30" to extend the screen. Get the 30", it will blow you away! Mike
