I am at a loss.

I ran memcheck, plus BurnIn test - both of which passed, hence i posted to that effect.

Left the PC on overnight, came back to BSD, saying something like MACHINE CHECK EXCEPTION (I think)

Tried running memcheck and BurnIn again and now RAM is erroring again? I mean, how the hell can it pass once and then error afterwards? BurnIn ran for 15minutes with no errors, now it errors straight away again, and I have not changed a thing.

Also, I think if I push my CPU really hard computer shuts down (as in it just reboots itself).

I am not keen on testing that too much until I get my new PSU, as I am guessing it's to do with power consumption.

I have downloaded SANDRA and will run it once I get PSU up and running. ANy other software I should use?

Thanks for your help guys.

You should be running MemTest from the BIOS - not from windows - at least until you are a little more stable... You do not need to boot into windows to run it - you will not have problems with BSOD etc hosing your OS. Make sure that you set it up to run tests 5 and then 8 for 10+ passes each, and then run all tests overnight (12+ hours).

If you get any errors what-so-ever, stop the test and post back here and we'll get it sorted for you...

OK, MemTest from BIOS doesnt let me change any config options. I am pretty sure I am not doing anything stupid. Memory errors asap. I am runnig Genie BIOS btw.

I have also tried to load in "Safe Optimised Defaults" which got me nowhere.

I think that voltage is to blame for lot of it, but have no idea how to work out whats right or not. I care not about OC at the mo, just need a stable RIG, as apart from games, I have a lot of work to do too, and could do with a higher spec machine actually working.

Help is very much appreciated!

Thanks
