Xbox 360 or Wii?

Camping at MicroCenter for a 32" LCD for $370. They have Xbox 360 systems for $100 off.. gonna see if I can pick one up. But I like the Wii. The 360 has GTA which I like (next year), but I like the Wiimote.

 

PS3 sucks, we all know that.

 

1) it's too damned expensive... the $500 model with 20gb is a POS in itself.. they don't supply the correct cables and a bunch of other crap.

2) i'll wait till the format wars are over before dumping half a grand on something that i don't even know will be the future to things (what the hell is wrong with dvds anyway? how many of us own a 1080P HDTV anyways? at least i don't )

 

Leaving in an hour to camp. Help me

 

mm they have 160gb sata drives for 15 bucks.. maybe ill pick up a few and RAID them just for the hell of it

The Xbox 360 is hands down the best next gen (now current gen I guess) console.

 

The game selection is awesome, Xbox Live is very, very efficient and addicting, and the system will prove to be even more powerful as developers take advantage of it's resources.

 

If I had my choice between the 3 new systems, I wouldn't have to think twice about the 360.

 

What's that? Oh yeah! I already have one!

Not gonna do Live. Don't wanna spend $70 a year on something I won't have time to use (freshman in high school).

Wii hands down. Much, much better selection of games for us older geeks/nerds.

 

Okay, not much older...but dammit, I grew up Nintendo and Sega.

Try COD 3, I have COD 2 and it looks great, but the new gameplay will prove to be interesting.

 

When I first disovered Live a couple years ago (I too was a freshmen) I literally MADE time to play Halo.

 

Now, as a Junior, my GPA is more important to me than pretty much anything, so I have little time to play games.

 

Is this the Core version you're looking at getting? I'd strongly recommend the Premium, but the Core is still good.

Occasionally me and my friends will get together for an 8-12 person LAN party playing Halo, but other than that it will be for my sole recreational gaming purposes.

 

My GPA is around 3.8 or somewhere around th ere.. that's horrible. I live in an Asian community that's full of gpa-whores.. 3.8 is considered horrible. But that's cause I procrastinate and camp here at DFI-Street

 

I'm getting the Premium system for $300 after $100 MIR. I'm really into good gameplay and replay value of games.. I don't appreciate games that are fun the first time, and get boring after that. RPGs and FPS are what I mostly play. GTA is my number one game.. have all versions for PS2, and beat San Andreas four times before I got bored of it.

 

Gears of War or any of the CODs?

i hate school, it's so damn competitive. i pull off mid 80s to high 80s and mid 90s and thats still bad. i failed the first two humanities tests i had (68 and 66 ftw, .!)

Well they've pretty much put what I was gonna say in a sinch.

 

Xbox 360 if you like the game selection, Wii if you like it's game selection... and don't get PS3 unless you want a very sexy looking product that's useless for the most part.

Gears of War because it isn't crap FPS on console where i cannot use mouse + kb

 

GoW is only marginally better since it is third-person, but still better than FPS by a longshot on console controller

 

(but then these are my opinions...plus, GoW is possibly the best game you will see on ANY console until Halo III, which I am not interested in in the slightest since it is an FPS on a console without mouse/kb, but I'm wise enough to know that Bungie will go all-out to make this THE GAME you MUST have)
