Evil_inc Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Has anyone tried out Frozencpu's 172x150mm 265CFM fan? http://www.frozencpu.com/products/2571/fan...ml?tl=g36c15s73 If I had tons of excess money I would use it but right now I would like to know how it performs. Thasp Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 $50.. That's insane. How about this, I can get you 600+ cfm for under $10.. go to kmart or the dollar store and buy a housefan. Take the door off the side of your tower. Now you have HD cooling, RAM cooling, vid card cooling, CPU cooling, RAM cooling, all in one package. Easily adjustable too. General Septem Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 172 X 150? That doesn't make sense, it's supposed to be round. I saw it on its side and it doesn't look like it's 150mm thick.
Guest mori-kun Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I think its a misprint if you look at the fan vid...you see a guy hold it down with his fingers....looks to be 50mm thick
dr_bowtie Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 heck just go to the dollar store and pick up one of those 14"x14" room fans for $9.99 and mod it to the side of the case... Thats a deal for a three speed adjustable fan that when turned on high will move the pc for you and cool everything on the board with one fan
Guest GripS Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Whoa what a waste of money that thing is. Especially since as it's already been said you can buy a house fan for less money. And it's bigger, in a box, won't hurt you. I'd put that on par with huge tower coolers that weigh so much they warp the board. Some poor sap will buy it though. WintersFury Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 If it were cheaper it might be neat. But I don't want another 50db fan... They get rather annoying after a while.
