a friend of mine has a 93 mr2. its white and its fast as hell. I dont know the specific parts, but he rebuilt the motor and it has a intercooled turbo and i think it might be a stock block. anyways we went from about 30mph to 90mph in about 2-3sec in about 150ft, it was pretty fun, then we took a corner at 40. for a min i was thinking about getting a sports car but im more of a off-roader.

i dont turn 16 until april but i know im getting a 4wd manual truck or suv. probably a jeep wrangler or cherokee or a toyota 4 runner or a f-150/250. then a lift and mud terrains.

Yeah, I am sort of into off roading myself. The landcruiser was my first vehicle, and I love the hell out of it. Mr2's, escpecially the turbo's are alot quicker than alot of people think, and personally I think they are the best car toyota has ever made. I have been to the track with this thing, and I love every minute of pushing this bad boy to his limits.

You can actually get about 500hp out of the stock 3sgte on all stock internals. The engines were built to take a beating.

I like MR2's, I think they look real nice and the mid-engine thing is killer.

I did forget to mention how nice integrale's ride is.. heh, I keep going back to look at it :D

diff_lock - the main reason Hondas aren't used in drifting is that they have no suitable FR car and FWD cars are not permitted in d1. I like Honda's, my gf works for them, they make very efficient engines.

Mr2's are such a blast. I have had people at gas stations, etc.. ask me if it was a ferrari. Alot of friends, that arent really into cars don't really think twice about my car until I take them for a ride. The feel of having a turbo screaming right behind you're head, and having all that power pushing you, while at the same time keeping you glued to the ground is unreal.

As far as drifting goes, I prefer grip driving myself.. Though it looks like fun, as long as you keep it on the track. I can't stand seeing people do it in public. That's idiotic. The AE86 is supposed to be a very good drift car as well however.

My daily driver is a salvaged 1999 Ford Escort SE that I bought for just under $1,000.00. I put a few hundred in it for paint, a door and a tail light fixture.

I've put over 100,000 miles on it in four years as a work car getting seriously good gas mileage.

Now for something completely different...

1998 Saleen S-351 Convertible (1 of 12).

I got the carbon fiber hood and deck-lid along with the rear cap to cover the top while it was down. The only problem is that if it starts to rain there's no place to store the cap with the top up.

My 1997 Chevy Silverado Ext cab, 350ci, dual exhaust, 4x4 and custom leather interior. I have had it new with only 57 miles and was paid for seven years ago. This is my 4th Chevy truck I also have a 1998 Suburban LT paid for.

WOW

That's a very nice & rare car!

Just got lucky!

Found it at a Conroe, Texas for dealer at 3 am while driving back home from the horse farm.

Waited until morning and sure enough, they didn't know what they had. I slipped the sales manager $500.00 on the way in and made the deal for their invoice "just to take it off their hands". It helped that it was the end of the month right before Christmas.

It's a sweet ride for cruisin' on good pavement. Down here on the Mississippi Coast you need new kidneys after one circuit.

This is what I think about Honda's (watch the whole thing, funny part at the end)

Honda's are FWD, enough said ;)

This car, as with most 240's, was built to be a drift car. I just got it a few weeks ago after selling my Lancer Evolution.

OH MAN THAT VID! HILARIOUS! VTEC!!!

Now that you got rid of the evo...THIS

I drive a 2003 IS300, Manual 5spd with LSD in the rear. Although I think drifting is "gay" due to how slow it is around a track it is no doubt fun. Every once and awhile my friends and I bolt on some old tires we keep in my friends garage and go out to Angel Stadium at night and setup cones. Oh yes it is fun! Like you said UncleDavid it is very hard to learn to "drift" as it has to do all with weight placement and throttle control. The IS is extremely heavy so it sure is hard to control but man when you hit it right you sure know it.

When I come home smelling like clutch/rubber my mom just laughs at me. 2JZGTE swap will be in the future!
