red930 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I think you will find your answer here Driver_IRQL_Not less_or_equal = instability. It doesn't matter if the voltages/speeds are stock or not. The timings still have to be correct. set your corsair ram at 2.75 volts and manul set the first 4 settings on your sticks in the bios set to T2 then run cpuz and make sure the SPD is the same on both sticks Driver_IRQL_Not less_or_equal is virtually always memory related.Memory errors are very hard to catch which is why memtest passes. Prime95 tests your system under hard stress and the error that you're getting could be either CPU or memory...
theVash Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I think you will find your answer here Ok. Ill try the middle one... In the mean time, I moved one chip up next to the first one, so I am running single channel. I still get the same erros but it take a much longer time, and it does not reboot the machine. Just errors in prime95. theVash
red930 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 well although the middle one is a grate choice. it only goes hand and hand with the first one. they all are good comments but still you have over looked the request of your memory timings

theVash Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 well although the middle one is a grate choice. it only goes hand and hand with the first one. they all are good comments but still you have over looked the request of your memory timings I though the request for timings was for the other person posting problems. But anyhow, I don't know how to look up my timing. Whats so bad about single channel? Atleast right now it runs. And from what I have read online it is not a big loss over dual channel? Where can I find my timing settings? Then I will post them. Thanks. Edit: I found a site that says my memory normally runs 3-4-4-8 But i have yet to find out what it is really running. Still looking. theVash

Sorry about the confusion. Thanks for helping me walk through this. I don't really like working on computers, because I don't know alot about the inner workings. But I suppose it is interesting to learn more. theVash
