Unusually high temperatures

So i just got my x24400 and i am running at 2.5 @ 1.48 volts. I have an XP90 with dynex cooling glue on the cpu. And my idle temp is at 44c. There is no way that temperature should be that high. Everyone on newegg says they are running this voltage with an idle temp at 33c. I checked the xp90 and its pretty dust free.

I dont know what could be causing the heat, i have very good cooling in my case as well.

Did you use AS5. That's usually what most of us run. Might want to see if the base of you cooler is even. I run a Thermaltake Big Typhoon on my opty165 and I'm usually about 25*C idle and 35*C loaded. I use a BB sized dot of AS5 on my cpu and the base of my cooler spreads it even.

Yeah i put a thin layer of it on, i have heard that is the best. And i put the cooler on....idk if it is even or not. All of the hooks are latched on so i assume it is.

Right now i am running dual prime with me fan all the way up and im at 53c

Okay, so i am cpu stable (not 8 hours prime) with my cpu at 2750 @1.60 volts. Is that too many volts to the CPU? And when i was priming i hit 62C. I know these chips are rated at very high temperatures. I had the 92 mm fan running full blast on my xp-90. Right now I am using dynex compound on my cpu. I think i really need to place an order and get some Arctic Silver 5. Should i get the ceramic or normal?

temps stock speed and voltage is 37c with fan all the way up. Dynex compound xp-90 and silverstone 92mm fan.

Well i placed the order for the ceramic as5. If that doesnt work as well as i think i will order either an xp-120, si-128, or xp90C, or any others you guys could recommend.....although the si-128 looks pretty nice....

How's the airflow in your case? No point having a fan on full if the hot air's not going anywhere...

Ihave a Silverstone tj05x, 1 80 and 1 120 in front intake, 2x 80mm intake side, 1 120 exhaust in the back. I have pretty sufficient cooling. I think its that damn compound im using, i read somewhere its supposed to be pretty descent...grrrr.
