davemc759 Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 I guess the question I have is why Crossfire? Do you already have a Crossfire video card setup? Well, no. Why should I be thinking differently?
davemc759 Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 Appproximately 1/16". Mine as well be a mile! I can't imagine the chip beneath would take kindly to the pressure required to make that kind of adjustment.
Praz Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 Well, no. Why should I be thinking differently? Happy_Games has said repeatably that Crossfire is not implemented well in games. And he has had a Crossfire setup it seems like forever. So the better two card solution would be SLi. If you are looking at buying new an 8800 series single card would be even better. bfedwards Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Hello, is seems from what reviews I can find comparing the crossfire with sb600 south bridge and the nvida 5** chips that the ATI has a.the greater stability and compatibility with a greater range of products (ie more forgiving) and b.due to its cooler operating temperatures a greater half life.
