General Septem Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 LMFAO, I didn't think that sounded like something you'd do. I'm not that crazy Nah, what I did when I put this PC into its old case was tie a wire to the case and my watch. Now that I don't have a case I just work really carefully, occasionally touching my PSU to make sure no static buildup occurs. I'm building a case out of acrylic and wood, so I'll have to do the same thing then, just touch the PSU.
225Slant6 Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Hey General did you ever get started on building that case? Looking forward to seeing it.
General Septem Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Hey General did you ever get started on building that case? Looking forward to seeing it. Actually the shop has been taken up by a grand piano my dad's been working on for the past several months. He's got it moved upstairs and into the living room, now, but with Thanksgiving so close we need to get some work done on the kitchen. I'll hopefully be able to start it come December. Evil_inc Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 I keep everything new on either the esd resistant bag or on aluminum foil and do all significant work on a tile floor.
OsamaBinAthlon+ Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Speaking of this I have to ship a motherboard and some ram soon (ultra-d ocz rev.2) Where can I get some ESD bags or is there any safe shipping alternatives.

General Septem Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Build underwater. Static charge won't build up. I'm kidding. Don't do that...
