Peter949 Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Sup guys. I'm on a dfi expert with gskill hzs in the orange slots. Anyone using them in the yellow ones? I can't get them stable in the yellow ones. Dfi recommends using the yellow banks and my old corsair worked in the yellow ones. Praz Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Hz sticks should be used in the orange slots. They are an excellent choice for the Expert.

Response time is now slower compared to my corsair at 2.5 3 8 3 gskill 3 4 8
Snowpro Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 GSkill HZ's stock is DDR500/250MHz many can do 260, few can go higher Try backing em off a few MHz
Peter949 Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Well did some reading and hzs prefer the orange banks. Wonder why my superpi 1m time is worse then my slower ddr400 corsair. Running ddr532 now.
frozndevl Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 I do believe that tighter timings will give you a better superpi time, but not necessarily better real world performance.

CPDMF Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Here's a link to my database entry with HZ's on an expert @ DDR532. Those timings were good till roughly 270. Give you a starting point if nothing else. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showpost.p...3&postcount=234 What part of Phoenix you in frzndevl
