Headset purchase time...

Ok, so Angry is looking for a good replacement headset

I've got one of the cheap Logitech headsets, and they are great for just yapping over Skype or Teamspeak, but I wan't something...more.

I've checked out the SENNHEISER stuff and it looks really good, but I of course want to hear from those of you who are much more familiar with headsets.

#1 it has to be light, yet comfortable, and the ear things have to cover my ears (mostly to block out other ambient noise)

#2 it has to be comfortable to wear for up to 2-3 hours at a time

#3 it has to have a mic and it has to have a little control thing on the line somewhere so I can turn the mic on/off

#4 it has to sound freakin awesome

#5 it has to be under $70 if possible, but will spend a little more if you are absolutely sure 110% that the ones you are recommending are the best ;)

I'm open to all kinds of suggestions and links to reviews etc, but mostly I want to hear your pro's/con's of the headsets you have, have had, etc.

Ive got the Plantronics GameCom Pro 1 USb headset.

I bought it off of NewEgg about 2 months ago for like, $50... I just tried to find it on there and I guess NewEgg doesnt carry it anymore... anyways, they sound great. It feels kind of flimsy, which is due to the um, part that goes over your head that supports the whole thing... its very flexible while still maintaining decent pressure to hold the ear pads onto your ears.

Its marketed as circumural, or whatever the term is that means it completely covers your ears, which is kind of false advertising or NewEgg had the wrong info. The pads rest on my ears, not on the side of my head, which kind of dissapointed me. The pads are very comfortable though, I can wear them for hours without discomfort.

They block out a significant amount of noise, I can still hear someone talk though if they talk loud enough. It also has an inline mic mute button along with a volume control for the headphones.

Um, other than that, I dont know what else to say. Its got an inline sound card thing near the USB plug that is ginormous.

If I had to rate it on a scale of 1-10, 10 being best, I would say 8.25/10

well...I really need the mic as the mods and our partners like Vigor Gaming and my other job with the hockey guys...we spend insane amounts of time doing Skype or Teamspeak, so the mic is more important than anything else, but the headphones must be of high quality because I also want to game with them (PC and my Xbox360)
