radodrill Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 I'd be surprised if there are only 3 "settings" for the control output; since it is PWM, which is infinately variable. It may be that the AMD boards are not yet fully implementing the 4pin feature; or some specific monitoring software is required to control the output. Personally I wouldn't bother too much trying to utilize the 4th pin to control the fan speed (especially since (at least up to P4) intel rigs don'tseem to implement it (I'm not sure if Conroe boards do or not); manual control should work fine if you don't overclock, if you want to monitor the temps use a monitoring app such as ITE SmartGuardian (included on the driver CD of most DFI boards, or available on DFI's download site), Mother Board Monitor (MBM), or SpeedFan.
