2ghz plus would be better. But we need your stepping code to find out. To do this you will have ot remove the heatsink from your cpu, and write down all the number son it.

1. Just in case you didn't know, 3DMark06 factors in CPu scores as well. Dual cores get at least double the score, so dont' whine about it when you are comparing. Look at the setup before examining.

2. There is NO good setting for you to start with. Overclocking isn't just a kick and go thing, we take ages to get where we are now. So stop asking, read the god damn stickies with the guides and start doing it yourself.

If you ahve any questions while doing step 2, i'll be happy to help.

run AquaMark 3 and give your score that as far as i know doesnt care much about dual cores and doesnt take long to run

I had a look on ORB to see what you should be achieving but they don't have the X1950XTX in their search criteria. From what I could gather (using a X1900 as a search seed) was that for a single core, you'll need about 2.5G on your CPU to get much over 5k.

It may be more beneficial to run 3DMark05 and post that score.

It seems like The CPU is the problem here the 3dmark05 score is around 87XX K. And i dont think thats a good result too.

Is my kingston value ram good for OC-ing ?

why would we need his steppings?i dont think it would affect the score much.

The steppings wouldn't directly affect his score by themself, but they could have a profound impact on his ability to overclock his system which would more than likely produce a higher score.
