Praz Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 If the rule explicitly stated width x height then there would be absolutely no doubt. But I think it is implied without being stated. Monitor dimensions are always given as the horizontal measurement followed by the vertical measurement. That is the industry standard when measuring anything pertaining to the monitor or anything being displayed on it. Even in Paint->Attributes the width is given first. So if a person is unsure as to which dimension to apply the rule to wouldn't the logical choice by an established standard?
Thraxz Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 All I've got to say is that Happy has defended that rule as a BANDWIDTH thing... because not everyone has broadband access. Then your concern should be the file size of 800x600 or 800x600 it doesn't matter, so long as it's that size or smaller.
red930 Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Yeah I think this has been beaten around enough. If you're still here, you know the rules, if you don't then read them again.
