Amd 3500+ @ 3000mhz

Hey guys :)

Ive just seen you have a 3ghz club, And id like ot be the only person with a 3500+ in there.

As you can see i can hit 2.75ghz using 10x275 1:1 running 3.3+123%

Now, im no noob when it comes to overclocking, but im not a extreme overclocker like alot of you here.

So im asking for your help to go above 2.75ghz As as soon as i go any higher it becomes unstable. So does anyone have any ideas or reccomendations on how to get closer to 3ghz ?

Im not speding anymore money on this rig. As im saving for my c2d :D

thanks in advance

If you are already at 1.55v core you most likely are hitting that wall where you need to ratchet up your volts. You stated you won't be spending more on your rig so you may be at your limit already.

I personally would not go any higher than 1.55v unless I have a decent watercooling set-up. Even if you did open your wallet and go water, there is high odds against you reaching 3 ghz on a 3500+. Good luck.

yeah htt is at 3x

Atm under a 24h prime the temps hit 37C Idle is 32C

Would loosening the ram timings help ? or using a divider ?

I have no idea how dividers work tbh, ive always run the ram 1:1

The only thing left to try is maybe using the 9/10 divider. This will just give you more headroom for overclocking the CPU, if your memory is maxed out. You may need to increase the voltage a tad more, but be careful with the temps. I am thinking you may be able to squeeze out an extra 50 mhz, and that's all.

Good luck getting to 3 ghz.

At what speed ? you mean when i ran prime ? 2.75ghz 10x275.

And apparently cpuz shows the cpu running at only 1.4v. is cpuz sometimes wrong ? Nvmonitor is showing 1.4v too ?

And i think its 2.3 not 3.3, im not 100% sure, havent been into the bios yet. But i know its set at the maximum for the ram then +123%
