FXed Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I love my Swiftech MCX6400-V, but on my DFI LP CFX3200 DR/G the RAM slots sit at the back of the MoBo, behind the CPU. This pulls the heat off the HS and right into the RAM, as it exits the case, and really heats up the RAM modules. I'm getting the SI-128, hoping the extra air flow from a 120mm fan blowing down over the RAM will chill things out a bit. Also with two CrossFire cards, the inside of my case gets pretty hot. I never liked HSs with unreplacable fans, since the HS will last forever and the fans eventually fry.
WintersFury Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 The fan is replacable... It just requires the modding of another fan. Though with the new one being 110mm instead of 120mm that won't be an option.
