Lontek Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 Hello, I just installed Red Hat 9 and 'wow' is what my reaction was. Linux is progressing technologically, thats for sure. The only minor problem I have had was with my video card. When I installed it from the original, tux racer got really choppy, so I looked up some info on the internet and found out that I needed to download the latest nvidia driver and install it. This I did and Voila, tux racer works great now. But what has me stumped is in the device (Vid card) properties the 3d accelarater box is greyed out so I can't check it. Another game I want to play is Descent 3 demo, and it requires 3d acceleration and I believe OpenGL. I can't get it to run and I suspect the greyed out box is related somehow. Any ideas? Thanks.
