Praz Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 At times it's difficult at best to get 4 sticks of identical ram working together. Two different brands of two different types is extremely difficult. Your owners manual should even state that the 4 dimms need to be the identical. You will have to set CPC to 2T. Other then that you have to start adjusting timings till you find something that works. If you do find settings that work the performance decrease will probably be greater then what you gain by the additional ram. The best thing to do is keep the 2x1GB sticks and sell the others.
