Just Bought A Dfi Lanparty :)

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

I'm new to these forums.

I have just bought a DFI LanParty nF4 Ultra-D. it should be here in a few days.

All I would like to know is how to flash my Bios as I have never done it before.

I know you need a floppy and a floppy drive and i have these but how do I actualy change the bios.

I dont have the LanParty yet it should be here in 2-3 days.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to DFI-Street

What PSU do you have? Put it in your signature.

May I suggest some light reading; The Definitive DFI AMD Overclocking Guide. Even if you’re not planning to overclocking. It is filled with all kinds of info about your BIOS settings. Understanding those settings will take you a lot farther with your rig.

No floppy needed with TMod's CD.

@tasr: surely the build guide might be some better light reading for rkb442 over the next couple of days? ;o)

@rkb442: Even if you've built loads of machines before - give it a read and follow it. It has saved many, many people some serious headaches in the past...

Oh, and good luck ;o)

I just bought one too xD from newegg. The order hasn't gone through yet...

but before that, this is my first build and I was wondering if all my parts will work together.

I'm pretty sure they will, but in terms of Brand compatability, etc.

Hi

Yea I printed the whole overclocking guid out earlier and had a read of it.

And yes I will be overclocking that why I got the DFI mobo.

I had an ASUS A8N-E before and got my Opty 144 to 2.8GHz

The simplest way if you want a stock bios is the Diamond Flash Image bios on DFI website.

you also should follow a simple protocol,

http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showpost.p...964&postcount=4

Why do you want to flash your bios right away?

I just thought it would be a good idea to get the latest bios.

My freind flashed them for me on my ASUS A8N-E but I what to learn to do it myself
