Capo Posted November 2, 2003 Posted November 2, 2003 I recently reformatted my comp but lost my DvD movie player software I had. Does anyone know of a place where I can download a free player? It doesn't need any special bells and whistles, just the ability to play dvd movies on my computer! Thanks

d3bruts1d Posted November 2, 2003 Posted November 2, 2003 Software questions go in the software forum, not the general forum. Please use the correct forum for posting messages.
O(V)eGA_l2el) Posted November 2, 2003 Posted November 2, 2003 PowerDVD, WinDVD, Windows Media Player 9 (Im not sure about the Divx Player)
General912 Posted November 2, 2003 Posted November 2, 2003 the reason why WMP 9 wont play dvds is because you probly dont have a dvd decoder installed.
tazwegion Posted November 2, 2003 Posted November 2, 2003 (edited) This site claim's its d/l for WinDVD is freeware @ win-dvd... Caution this site wants you to d/l their software in order to d/l from the site... @ the bottom of the page, in fineprint is Call price: 1'5 Pounds/Min.... sneaky huh? Don't get much for free these days... Pretty much all other d/l's were trial versions for full-on s/ware... here's a freeware version of Maximus DVD 1.2 @ d/l link... however you still need the decoder s/ware Hmmmm maybe you could borrow a friends version & key? <_< Edited November 2, 2003 by tazwegion
