DuckieHo Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 As for the voltages, I use Zener diodes to set my fans at specific voltages. I would recommend the 1N53XXBG series from ON Semiconductors for $.32 each. For reference, a single 4.7v Zener diode can handle up to 20w of fan(s). The Yate Loons use 1.8w so one of these 4.7 Zener diodes can actually be used to volt mod 10 of these fans. I used the 3.3v Zeners so my fans see 8.7v (12v - 3.3v).
