Do i need to uninstall the older DirectX first in order to install the latest one ? And if i need to do so, how is it ?

no just install over it :)

In future though you only need to install the latest redistributable on top of a fresh install of windows XP.

I'm currently format my pc now , once it is done then i just get the latest one from the first post and install then right away ?

Noob question. The 32bit and 64bit downloads are referring to the OS not the CPU correct?

I will be reinstalling my OS after I install the Opty 165 in a raid 0. I am going to download the latest drivers to my backup hard drive before hand. Should I use the floppy disk drivers for the install, then run the new driver package to update or should I extract the latest drivers to a floppy and use them for the install?
