Mixing TCCD sticks... help

Recommended Posts

Hello!!! This is my first post here. This forum is great. Its my first source of information since i bought my mobo. So...

Its time to get more ram. The best i can get on local store are this...

OCZ Series EL Platinum Revision 2

Model OCZ4001024ELDCPER2-K

Type 184-Pin DDR SDRAM

Capacity 1GB (2 x 512MB)

Speed DDR 400 (PC 3200)

Cas Latency 2

Timing 2-2-2-5

Voltage 2.75V

Chip Samsung + Brainpower pbc

Im almost 100% sure it is TCCD, so here lays my doubt.... Should i expect problems mixing this OCZ with my current Corsair 3200XL rev1.2???

I am aware that will be on 2T, OK.

Since 4 sticks are TCCD, i think i will be ok.... or not?

2x1gb its not an option. Sorry. I prefer these OCZ TCCD than Cheap 1gb stick value ram.

and sorry my english felows!!!

Thanks in advance.

Any time you mix any ram, you could have problems. Timmings and such could pose real issues, but Im sure that this has been done before and can be pulled off, just dont know of anyone that has. Ive mixed ram in other boards but never on my DFI's, I have run 4x512 but all the same brand and type, worked fine on my nF4-D.

In the end all you can do is try it and hope it works, I wish you all the luck in the world, I hope it works for you, Good luck!
