Anzac Cookies Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Hey all, i have recently purchased a CFX3200. I am running XP pro with all available updates, 4x120Gb SATA2 HDDs in RAID 0, 3800+ X2, X850XT, X-FI Fatal1ty abd all the latest drivers from the DFI site. I can access the internet etc.. fine, until i start to play Battlefiled 2 where it will start to load and reach a certain point every time where it will crash to desktop. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Marvell drivers and Battlefield 2 about 6 times each to no avail. Any one got any ideas what might be causing this. I have also turned off C-fos speed and Zone Alarm Firewall aswell as Windows firewall but still no luck. Cheers

CPDMF Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Is the rig prime and 3D stable? Where is BF2 crashing. Loading into the game or loading into a server.
Anzac Cookies Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Yes it is stable, it seems to crash while loading into a map (server) always at 62% load progress.
CPDMF Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 It doesn't seem like an ethernet problem to me, have you tried both ethernet ports? Do downloads from fast servers go well? Do any other games have the problem or just BF2? Which patch version? Have you tried a single player match right after you finish installing the game and using default player so it does not have to go online and just grabs the maps from the hard disk.. SiLvABuLLetZ Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Go into My Documents/Bf2/mods/bf2/cache Delete all files within the 1, 2 or 3 folders you have in there.
Wonder_Bread Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 It is Battlefield 2. You have the Crash To Desktop issue. Don't worry, you aren't alone, its not your system specifically, and EA dosen't give a flying damn.
Anzac Cookies Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I think you guys are right, i have tried to play other games and they work fine, so it is only BF2. I wonder how to get this game working
