Advice on my proposed water setup

Everything will be in 1/2" flavor:

12V DD-D5 Pump

The Danger Den SLI Kit Solution using two (2) Acetal MAZE4GPU (with RAMsinks)

Swiftech Apogee CPU water block

X-Flow Black Ice Xtreme III (I plan on having this outside the case. I could use advice on fans)

Tygon tubing, clamps, fillport reservoir, fillport, T line, and syringe.

I'll also want to upgrade my case's 80mm fans to ensure I have a solid flow through the system. I could use some advice here as well. I currently don't know how I am going to route the tubing to the radiator.

As far as the fans go, I'd like to keep costs down here but without sacrificing too much performance. I'm not too worried about noise, especially on the 80mm internal fans.

Thanks in advance!

For fans, get any kind of Papst fans (if you can find them)

They're real nice and push ALOT of air

These are the ones I have. I paid a lot more for them though!

Also, why not get a Danger Den TDX? You can get the TDX + D5 combo for $108

Not sure on the TDX. I keep hearing how the apogee is one of the best out there. I think I'll have do a little searching for reviews/tests on the TDX. I'd love to see a shootout between the Apogee (extreme?) and the TDX.

Well if it's any consolation everybody here uses the TDX

It is, actually. This community has yet to steer me the wrong way.

Those fans look perfect for my needs. Killer price and 67CFM!

How loud are they? I see the 32db and see that it's louder than many out there, but how loud is 32db in real life?

I used to run a TDX not too long but have recently switched to a Cooltechnica MP-05 Pro and saw a fairly nice temp drop of 2 degrees load. Not a bunch but nothing else in the bios changed and the CMOS wasn't cleared. I haven't tested the Apogee on my own stuff so I really can't say much but from I have read and heard from trusted people is the apogee is the better performer. The other thing that the TDX lacks is support for changing platforms without spending more money, which isn't the case for most blocks on the market..

The only advantage I see with the Apogee over the TDX and even Storm is the pins and surface of the copper is huge, it covers the entire IHS on the A64 which sounds like a plus and it doesn't have a lot of backpressure. While the TDX and Storm looks like they will peform a lot better if they were mounted right over the die since they positioned in the inlet right over the center.

I personally wanted the Apogee but I got a package deal with the Storm. :D But the TDX package deals over at DD make the price nice. BTW search this forums for the DD discount code to make the prices even better.
