Uber-Noober Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Good point. I have heard that ATI drivers are excellent now. I was just basing this on previous experience with ATI. I always felt, based on the tech newgroups, that ATI had superior hardware but more game developers worked closer with nVidia thus making it the better choice for gamers. I would happily go with ATI if they had a comparable $250 512mb card like the GTO is going for now. (EDIT: It should be in my hands tomorrow!) By the way! I have the same monitor and I love it. It pwns the Mac!
Sorrento Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 And the Mac Cinema one is just 16 x 9... the Dell is 16 x 10 I don't know about who has superior hardware... I think both have, but because they are rushing things they will make mistakes... and people buying the latest cards (both) will suffer

Sorrento Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I think so, but perhaps upgrading to a bigger card first would be better. The 7900GT and above give a very nice performance / $$$ ratio ,but another 7600GT would increase performance a lot I guess.
