axy1985 Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 hi! it just came to my attention that my PC, when it boots, now shows "Verifying DMI Pool Data...." instead of the "Updating DMI Pool Data...." i THINK i remember it used to show. it also takes much longer than whatever showed last time... it used to be instantaneous, but now it takes around 5 seconds stuck there "Verifying". did i change something in the BIOS i don't remember changing? i'd like those 5 seconds boot-time back thanx! It should only say 'updating' if you change something in the bios then reboot, it should say 'verifying' through a normal boot-up procedure. Guest Kobalt Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Is it always 5 secs? I didn't time mine, but I don't think it is that long. You can always turn on the LOGO, and stare at that instead of the DMI pool stuff... lol
