Okay, here we go, first post.

I bought the DFI LAnparty UT NF3 last september. Last july, it fried my 6600gt. I thought nothing of it (random occurrance).

Now yesterday, it fried my 6800GS.

My question is, will dfi honor their warrantee, and if so, will they also cover my video card? It was of no fault of my own that either card fried, so I think that it should be covered.

Thanks guys!

Look at tw33ters for a good example of what I'm talking about. You will not recieve any further assistance until that is taken care of. I know it's strict, but it helps everybody help you. And will expedite the answers that you seek.

Thank you.

Sorry about no sig... my browser wasnt workig properly. I hope it works now.

My PSU is the Fortron SAGA 450W (as per sig if it shows).

The rails are 18A for each (dual 12V rails)

The 6800GS has a NV Silencer 5 Rev. 3 with AS5 on it, and never breaks 64*C load.

However, further testing and problem elimination has proven that it is in fact the AGP port itself that is faulty (thats what ive determined anyways), and it *might* be the PSU, but I have no spare to check it against. Attempts to boot properly with an MX400 AGP has proven inconclusive.

Thanks for the input guys... and I hope my sig works now...

If it is your AGP slot then asking you to try another Graphics card isnt gonna be much use as it could fry it also. Maybe if you got a multimeter and checked the volts and amps being delivered to the Graphics card it would rule out the PSU too. Then an RMA would be the way to go. The PSU you are using is recomended by DFI and from what I gather OCZ PSU's are generally Fortron PSU's rebranded ( read that in another post here ).

2 good cards and a lot of money later, expensive problem. I would RMA it.

Maybe a MOD could clarify this for me but if you do RMA it and it turns out the AGP slot is killing your G/cards are you due any compensation for a G/card replacement? I may be reaching here but if its proved to be the case, that would be my stand point.

Yeah, I am inquiring about the compensation, because on my student budget... I have like *maybe* 20-40 bucks a month extra. so getting a new video card would be.... a rather long process.

Also what I'm worried about is the fact that they no longer sell my particular board anywhere, and I don't want to have to wait months upon months for another to become available (somehow).

Thanks for the input guys, and i will test my rails tonight to be sure the motherboard is the problem.

I have also sent DFI and NCIX (where i got the mobo) e-mails pertaining to my problem.

And in case i missed anything.... is my sig okay?? It may not be all flashy but its a sig.... lol

Thanks!:cool:

Ookay ladies and gents... here are the results of my PSU multimeter test...

12V = 11.79 - 12.05V

5V = 4.89 - 5.00V

3.3V = 3.18-3.32V

all seem to be stable, and my system does not stress it much.

I hope these values are within the acceptable range.

BTW, DFI contacted me via e-mail and I am currently looking for a local dealer (Mem express) to see if they can test it for errors.
