UncleDavid218 Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Yep, those temps are accurate as well. But remember it's not going to increase my overclock one bit, even being that cool
bleach Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 not like it did with the nf2. Chipset is definitely more important to cool on my ultra-b. will fail prime so fast without active cooling.

Guest Kobalt Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Nexfan.com sells the VC-RE for $7.99 and I have a code for free shipping...you just cant beat that.... Hmm, can you post the code, or is it one user specific?
ollietwinam Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I'm going to pretty soon, mine buzzes at 4000+ rpm and keeping it below that isn't sufficient cooling if I'm gaming lol
Boosted420a Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 First I tried a Vantec all copper chipset cooler, which worked great, but made a bit more noise than I like. I bought a Koolance gpu/chipset waterblock and couldn't be happier. Normal idle temps were in the mid to high 40's. Now It's idling at 32C and will sometimes hit 37C under load. So far I'm very impressed with this block.
Guest Synchronize Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Where is the "I'll replace it when the DFI fan don't work anymore' option? Dito. I'm only changing mine once the standard fan dies. Allthough i think i should order one in so i don't have to wait for it to come when the dfi one does die. Kingfisher Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 IF it is not broke don't fix it. Mine never gets higher than 45-46 under load so what's the point of re-placing it?
dr_bowtie Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 code is "fallinlove"....no quotes...minimum order is $24.99 good till 9/23/06... Email to me but you can try it...good luck...
greatscott68 Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I used the Evercool, but if I did it again I'd consider the HR-05 SLI. I haven't been terribly impressed with the Evercool, though it's definitely better than stock.
RubberDuck Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I did replace it with an Evercool VC-RE .
Sorrento Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Using diferent cooler than the Evercool VC-RE... using the Vantec IceberQ 4 (non pro), with the necesary modifications to it. I am wondering how the other coolers with heatpipes would do, since I have a ton of ventilation in that area.
