stubarnez Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Right guys i have just recently purchased a XFX 9700GT card and im finding that when i play Counter Strike Source and i go into Options/Video/Advanced, it shows my DirectX Hardware Level as 0 effectively and only registers my software DirectX as 9.0 even tho i have DirectX 9.0c! I did however install 91.31W drivers first before upgrading to 91.47 could this be the problem? A firend of mine has also purchased BFG 7900GT OC and he installed the 91.47 drivers straight off and he has no problems! Has or does any1 no of any similar problems with DirectX not being reconised on STEAM games or any other games?

Guest Kobalt Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 If that is the case, then everything is fine! Trust MS! If you want, you can get driver cleaner, and nuke the video drivers, then boot into vga, and then load up the 91.xx.
Redbeaver Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 just download 91.47 and driver cleaner (both canbe found at guru3d.com), uninstall ur driver, reboot into safe mode, run drivercleaner, reboot again to normal, cancel any auto-detect/install window crap, install new driver
SeanDude05 Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Yo do mean an XFX 7900GT correct? I'd suggest trying what redbeaver has suggested.
