dede99 Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Hi to all! I got DFI for allmost one week now and it's all ok i found out how i can overclock and my CPU temp's are ok bc Wattercooling but my Chipset get's over 72 celsius right now and i don't know if it's going to burn the whole motherboard. Does somebody know about the temp's at this board and is it going to be ok or does i have to put on better cooling. Thank you in advice. calvintang Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 1st. do you have ANY other active cooling on your mobo? the chipsets can run as hot as that, but if your really worried do the following.. 1. buy a 9cm fan ,a bracket if nessecary, and point it into your chipset area. 2.make sure the chipset fan is not clogged with....dust! 3.replace the chipset fan with a 'decent' one.like http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52950

ollietwinam Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 Yeah the Evercool is slightly less high than the stock, so it should be fine
dede99 Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 But now i'm confused, i installed now MBM and i have allready Speed Fan and the SF show's chip set on load over 70c and the MBM just about 41 so one of those show's wrong sensor at the position I'm now just on finding out what is the real sensor called for the chipset
Gipse Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 Do you use the modified data_file for MBM and have you followed the installation guide to set up this tool in the right way? Gipse
dede99 Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 i did install it with the update's and after i paste the config files for nf3-4 board's inside the data folder i found here on street
Gipse Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 So you used the config-wizzard? If so, uninstall MBM and install it like mentioned in ExRoadie´s guide. It might be a good idea to remove the cooler and to apply some AS5 or Ceramique. This should drop your temps. I don´t think that the Evercool is available in Austria, checked geizhals.at some time ago and found nothing... Gipse
dede99 Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 what are your temp's on watter Gipse
Gipse Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 CPU: 38°, Chipset: 30°, GPU: ~48°, PWMIC 30° -> full load temperatures (3d-benchmark or prime). 3x120mm Papst fans running @ 4.5V and 1x90mm Papst (4.5V) for the PWMIC area; I like it quite All watercooling parts are from aquacomputer, only the chipset freezer is from mips-computer.
