Ocz/Dfi Special DDR800 1T on U2-M2...

Recommended Posts

In OczTony's thread about the Ocz/Dfi Special DDR800 1T (http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64731 ) , I made mention that I was testing on the Ultra2-M2 board and here are the preliminary results so far. One note that was of great interest to me was suddenly the 'slow' AM2 5000+ I was using went into the plus 2800Mhz range. Oh I do feel better for sure.

See Prime below and more to follow. RGone...

Some wanted to see the difference between 1T and 2T command rate. Here they are and though you will see less "difference" as the benches move from 3D01 to 3D06 that does NOT mean Ripping, Editting and other CPU/Memory Intensive operations will not also show similar gains with 1T instead of 2T and NO I am not going to go around the world to test the rest...you can yourself...

Given the choice previous to a purchase, I would choose 1T everytime if Possible. RGone...

Although the OczPC9000 Special stuff has been checked/qualified on the DFI SLi 590 board it is d*mn goot for the DFI Ultra2-M2 board also and runs as advertised quite nicely...

ps I would like to add that though I do not have the OCZ-DFI special RAM, I do have some great OCZ 2GB Gold GX that EASILY (and i was even surprised at how easily) dumped my 4800+ X2 AM2 up to 2900Mhz without ANY effort.

These AM2 processors are very nice for clocking from my testing so far!

hope to get my hands on some OCZ-DFI special stuff

Yes sir that'll do...any little thing I can get my eyeballs on to sway me one way or the other between AM2 now or holding off for a DFI SLI/Conroe combo. I think I'll be majorly dissappointed at this point switching from what I have in my sig to AM2 other than something new to play with...
