AYoKoNA Posted October 30, 2003 Posted October 30, 2003 RR if you have the dough get mushkin lvl II, never seen it beaten in any mark. or if you have less cash you can still opt for OCZ, still an up to par competitor.
O(V)eGA_l2el) Posted October 30, 2003 Posted October 30, 2003 (edited) Why would you want to much ram? 4-1GB sticks? I would not go over 2GB (unless it was a server) Edited October 30, 2003 by O(V)eGA_l2el)

IUMaestro Posted October 30, 2003 Posted October 30, 2003 For a video card I would definately go with ATI, now that the XT series is out you can go with a radeon 9800 pro 256mb and that will pretty much top out any card out there on x86 platforms i believe. I have the 9600 pro and it absolutely kicks . in gaming, and everything else. Great overclocking cards. www.ati.com Sound cards - SoundBlaster Audigy series cards are known to be on top as far as desktop solutions go. The Audigy 2 is always a great choice. www.creative.com Corsair memory is thie shiznit for sure. I didnt have the money to get corsair though, so I went with pc3200 Samsung ram, which is ok. Finally - dude no more than 2 gigs, 1 is all you need. If you have the money to get 4 gigs then spend it on registered or ECC ram. you can find out what that is by searching the forum there are alot of posts about registered memory
