Requires a Java run time. Out of the box, for Windows, anyway, it just has a Java compiler/debugger. However, it has dozens and dozens of plugins for all kinds of languages and tools. http://www.eclipse.org EDIT: Be careful with Daemon Tools; when I installed it on my work laptop a couple of weeks ago it installed WhenU, a well-known adware program. Yeah, just be sure not to install the Daemon toolbar, I think thats what it's called. I don't think I saw Skype on your list, good for talking to each other over the internet, apparently. KimTjik Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 EDIT: Be careful with Daemon Tools; when I installed it on my work laptop a couple of weeks ago it installed WhenU, a well-known ad-ware program. Some antispy-ware programs don't even list WhenU as a threat anymore, since its business practices eventually has changed to the better. Some simply list it as a minor annoyance, which is very easy to detect and delete if someone so wishes. And as Technodavan said it's optional to install it or not; it doesn't affect the use of the program. What you choose to do is another thing, but at least there's no reason to panic. KimTjik Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Couldn't resist to make a tip about this video/DVD player: Full Screen Player Don't get scared if you click around and you see a strange alphabet; it's from a Russian site and the program has a Russian developer. It's a very good player with some innovative ideas and it will probably just get better. It's non-installation program in the sense that it's just a file to uncompress and you simply run it from the exe-file without any setup. I recommend you to test if you're interested in freeware. I miss Xine when I'm using windows.

Wasn't there a time as well, when Mozilla had some malicious software running around under it's name. I remember getting a lot of Spyware and other crap on my system back in my P2P days *ahem* kazaa *ahem*.
red930 Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Put foobar2000 in the media list. I love it as a simplistic, very configurable music player. Love it, period. http://www.foobar2000.org/ DL here: http://www.foobar2000.org/foobar2000_0.9.3.1.exe Is it me, or do you have something against foobar? It's very easy on the resources, and configures easily.
