JDMJOSH Posted September 9, 2006 my ccc keeps crashing for some odd reason, it will show the splash screen and then briefly show the control panel and then nothing. I have .net 2.0 installed and it did work briefly when I first installed it but something else must be conflicting with it
uneedav8 Posted September 9, 2006 The same has happened to me before. I would try driver cleaner pro and then install it one more time......if it crashes again......use the omega drivers. http://www.drivercleaner.net/professional.php http://www.omegadrivers.net/
boo_masters Posted September 10, 2006 I did all this before and it still happened. Unfortunately, what ultimately happened was my HDD went bad over time. I seriously think that was the problem since later on I also had issues installing ANYTHING new. With a fresh HDD all is well and backup restored and those programs that were acting up reinstalled all is well. What I would do first is make a backup to another HDD if you can. This will help you if your HDD IS going bad. Then try the above stated solutions. If it does not work, let me know if your HDD does go bad, Would be interesting if this is a precursor to failure. boo
red930 Posted September 10, 2006 Uninstall the .NET Frameworks 2.0 and install the 1.1 plus the patch. See if that helps you out.
Gipse Posted September 10, 2006 I have the same problems with CCC, no matter what driver I try. I will try what Mack27 suggested. My first thought was that it meight have something to do with my nlite version of XP. Can anyone tell me how to install the Omega drivers? I was never able to get them installed -> unknown devices, driver not found... Thanks! Gipse
