Cyber Surfer Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 After robbing a bank, I would be able to afford Intel! LOL
road-runner Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 (edited) You dont have to rob banks, Intel just had a price decrease the 3.2c was $600something, I gave $439.99 you can get them even cheaper than that online I did not want to wait, I am just the type of person that when I want something and want it now I go buy it. I am going to try the AMD 64 bit next, does anyone know what kind of speeds they are producing? Pizoi Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 Ok, not too bad if you have the 266 FSB 2600+. but it still doesn't compare to the 2500+. What makes the 2500+ better though? This is what I don't understand.
gouber5585 Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 its cheaper and can overclock as high the same speed as a 2600
Agallion Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 psh teh 2500 can easily go to 3200 speeds on air
AMDOCuser Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 What makes the 2500+ better though? This is what I don't understand. And they have 512MB cache instead of 256MB.
Pizoi Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 All Barton's have 512mb L2 cache (Are there Barton's slower than 2500's? I know the 2400 and lower only had 256mb, can't remember if any of them use a Barton core). Also the 2500, 2600 and 2800 all have 333mhz FSB's (3000 does too, can also come with 400mhz). Guest Trios Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 My God. I wish that these CPUs had 256 and 512 MB caches. Megabytes, gawd! That would be insane. You guys need to check your terms. The chips have 256 and 512 KB caches. Maybe you were all dreaming? Hehehe.. Trios
