ICON57 Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 i just ordered a 4800 for the pc at work to replace a fx-53... ...its going on a msi neo2 mobo, the bosses at work dont want me to oc...lol ...i will prolly throw a small oc on it anyway! the fx-53 dont have much value these days, i saw one on ebay going for about 150.00, i might just take it home and see what it will do on my dfi board. If you are swapping one dual core for another, you should be OK. You can get some problems when going from a single core to a dual core (HAL), but other than that, swapping should go OK.
