Overclocking Xp2000+

Hey guys - first post on these forums.

I've been reading quite a bit over the past few days, researching what cooling system to get. I decided to go with the Koolance PC2-601BW, which turns out to have been an awesome choice and I couldn't be happier with it. If there is something wrong with it that I should be aware of please inform me.

Well, apart from the silence, I got this so that I could overclock. I have a AMD XP2000+ with a Soyo Kt-333 Dragon Lite. There within lies the problem: the processor is bad for overclocking, and the mobo is too.

I managed to get it to 1888mhz (12x151). This seems to be the highest attainable speed. I got onto my computer, which is functioning at a stable 32celcius without any problems, and ran the CPUBench2003 Test. My results came out as 5464 with a 1946 on the ram performance or something of the sort. My issue is that those results barely compare with a 2200+, when I would expect them to compare to a 2400+. Is there an explanation for this? Do they just overrate the 2400+? Or does overclocking to a certain speed not necessarily mean it will compare with the equal stock processor? Also, is there any possible way I can increase the speed that I get out of this processor without my system stalling? At 32celcius you just can't help but want to keep on pushing it (:
