||Console|| Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I know i dont have a DFI ( I want one ) But i have tryed getting help on manny diff forums and no one really gives me any ideas of things to try so i figured Y not post here I have heard great things about this fourm . (and i plan on getting a dfi nf4 with in a month ) Ok I dont know why this is going on but this is what happens . I started playing with my 10x multi and its going great less vcore , less heat , higher Mem Bandwith . But this is my problem , It wont boot off the first post. This is how i have it working I boot Set the higher vcore ,reboot go back into bios bump it up to 260 htt reboot, then boback in bios and set to 275-280 , Now it shouldnt be the Mem as i mem tested for 40+ passes on test #5 with memtest @ 280 2.5-3-3-5 1t . Any Idea On how to fix this problem ? . Oh even once I have it Running @ 280x10 and I Power off ( not a reboot ) then turn back on I have to go through the porcess i listed above 280 is a goal but im not that stressed if i dont hit it . Once i have the system running it is stable i turned off prime after 20 hours @ 275 htt 1:1 2.5-3-3-5 1t. but i dont under stand Y i have to do this process of going into bios 3 times before i can get it to post on 10x multi with htt above 260 ish
Maarek_Stele Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 There are many things to try, raising vcore, chipset voltage or ldt. Ensure you reduced ldt multiplier to at maximum 3x or go further down, try relaxing some memory timings, try other psu...
||Console|| Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 ok i will try those but you really thing that would cause it not to post ? i mean after i get it upit is rock stable i cant change the chipset v i think that is my prob
Maarek_Stele Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Usually chipset voltage plays a major part in getting high fsbs. In one of my dfi 250gbs 1.7v can get me to 300htt with htt at 2.5x, but some people need more.
