fatamos Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 Just read an article (HardOCP) about overclocking the 9600 pro using RadClocker. Not had any xp in doing this... and I was concerned whether my card would be turned into a piece of toast. Heat distribution might be a problem, as it's in a shuttle sn45g. Any advise on how I should go about it ?
AYoKoNA Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 d/l a 3rd party software for your vid card like radclocker or others (there are plenty of em i.e. Rivatuner) and go in small increments of 5... Make sure to test every time u go up 5 in both columns (the clock and memory i think are the two) If you see any artifacts or other objects on the screen when your playing a video game, abort and decrease what you just did. If you do it this way you "Shouldn't" toast your card.
Sainou-Kun Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 I aggree with Ayokona, but also you may want to look into a better heatsync for your card, or even a heatpipe cooler, unless your liquid allready then get a Cooling block for it.
